> ## Agent Instructions
> State which API version you are using. V1 uses https://esa.acreblitz.com/api/v1; V2 uses https://esa-v2.acreblitz.com/api/v2.
> Read /llms.txt for links to both versions. For V2 bulk integration, read bulk submission, status, results, and /v2/errors before constructing requests.

# Authentication

> Authenticate V2 requests with your provider API key

Send `X-API-Key` on every V2 endpoint. Keep the key in your backend environment or secret manager.

```bash theme={null}
export ACREBLITZ_API_KEY='your_api_key_here'
```

```bash cURL theme={null}
curl 'https://esa-v2.acreblitz.com/api/v2/mitigations/epa_runoff' \
  --header "X-API-Key: $ACREBLITZ_API_KEY"
```

Your key establishes provider ownership. When the request includes `provider_id`, it must match that provider. Job, field, application, and group operations are limited to resources belonging to your provider.

Active, unexpired keys can use all V2 endpoints; no separate bulk endpoint permission is required. A development key only works with its development environment. Contact [support](mailto:support@acreblitz.com) to obtain the appropriate key.

See [error handling](/v2/errors) for 401, 403, 429, and retry behavior.
